Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise took a nostalgic trip back to one of his most iconic movie moments while promoting his upcoming film ‘Digger.’ The 64-year-old actor recreated his famous dance from the 1983 coming-of-age comedy ‘Risky Business’ during an appearance on ‘The Jennifer Hudson Show’ and revealed that he still remembers every frame of filming the memorable scene.

According to a report by IANS, Tom Cruise recreated the moves from the much-loved ‘Risky Business’ sequence in which his character, Joel Goodsen, dances around his home in his underwear to Bob Seger’s ‘Old Time Rock and Roll’.The scene has become one of the most recognisable moments of Cruise’s career, and decades later, the actor appeared to remember the filming process in remarkable detail.Tom Cruise says, ‘I remember every frame of shooting this’Recalling how the iconic sequence came together, Cruise said, “I remember shooting it, I remember every frame of shooting this [scene].”The actor went on to remember director Paul Brickman giving him the opening frame of the sequence.“I remember the director, Paul Brickman, giving me the opening frame, and I was like, ‘I got you, you know. I know where to go’,” he recalled.Cruise also joked that dancing around in his underwear came naturally to him.“Of course I did this as a kid; it was natural for me. I used to dance around in my underwear when no one was there. Doesn’t everyone do that?” he said.

Tom Cruise dances through ‘Spirit Tunnel’

During his appearance on the show, Cruise also participated in ‘The Jennifer Hudson Show’s signature ‘Spirit Tunnel’ and appeared to thoroughly enjoy the experience.When Jennifer Hudson asked whether he enjoyed the ‘Spirit Tunnel,’ Cruise said he “loved it” and revealed that the participants actually had to pull him out because he wanted to continue dancing.“I loved it. They had to pull me out of the spirit tunnel. I wanted to dance with more people. But I loved it. If you can’t enjoy the spirit tunnel, you’re not alive,” Cruise said.

Tom Cruise talks about ‘Digger’

Cruise was on the show to promote his upcoming film ‘Digger’, in which he plays Digger Rockwell, a character who attempts to save the world from a natural disaster. The character also has a one-eyed senior cat named Maggie.Describing the role, Cruise said, “This character is outrageous.” He explained that Digger says things people may think but would not necessarily say out loud.“He says things that people may think about, don’t say out loud, things that they’ve never thought about and didn’t expect anything like that to come out loud. It’s just an amazing character and (the) twists and turns of it,” he said.‘Digger’ is scheduled to release in cinemas on October 2, 2026.
