Prince Harry officially made his first-ever public appearance after he and Meghan Markle shifted back to the UK last month. The two arrived in the country in Birmingham on August 26, accompanied by their children, Archie and Lilibet. Since then, the two have stayed quiet about life, other than Markle only recently sharing a glimpse of how the family of four has been spending their time together since the shift.Now the royal has officially made his first public appearance and his first statement about his move to the UK; however, the ‘Suits’ alum was nowhere to be found at the event.
Prince Harry makes his first statement about the UK move without Meghan Markle
The prince recently attended the Invictus Spirit Gala Dinner & Awards at the Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich, London, on Thursday. However, the Duke of Sussex was alone at the time and was not accompanied by his wife. For the event, he wore a sleek black tuxedo, a button-up shirt, and a bow tie, along with all of his military medals on display. He was also photographed at the event wearing the Royal Victorian Order medal around his neck.While talking to PEOPLE, who asked the royal about how the entire shift has been for him and his family, Prince Harry replied, “Good. It’s good to be back on British soil.”The outlet also reported that the prince was seen attending the event with two former Invictus competitors and even stepped aside to take selfies and interact with some of the other attendees.

Their youngest daughter, Lilibet, was born in the US, after which the family stayed there for six years.For the past year, Prince Harry has publicly expressed how he wished to make amends with his family over everything that has happened and even went to the UK with his family for an Invictus event earlier this year. Near the beginning of August itself, reports revealed that the Duke and Duchess were planning on moving back to the UK indefinitely. While it has been unclear whether they will stay in the UK for the long term, their children have already started school in the area.
