Danish Pandor, best known for playing Pakistani gangster Uzair Baloch in Aditya Dhar’s ‘Dhurandhar’ franchise, has reportedly joined the cast of Aamir Khan and Ashutosh Gowariker’s upcoming period sports drama ‘Lalkaara’.According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, Pandor has landed a key role in the film and will play one of Aamir’s friends. He joins Aamir and ‘Jubilee’ actor Sidhant Gupta in the ensemble cast.

Pandor has reportedly been brought on board for an important role in ‘Lalkaara’. While details about his character are being kept under wraps, he is said to play one of Aamir Khan’s friends in the film.The casting also reportedly puts to rest earlier speculation about Vikrant Massey’s involvement in the project, with the actor said to not be part of the film. The makers are continuing to expand the cast, with more prominent names expected to come on board as casting remains underway.

Aamir Khan, Sidhant Gupta and Danish Pandor are reportedly undergoing cricket training and physical transformations for their respective roles. The actors are expected to closely resemble the real-life personalities who inspired their characters. Aamir will portray legendary cricketer Lala Amarnath, who became independent India’s first cricket captain. The identities of the characters being played by Sidhant and Pandor have not yet been revealed.

The film marks the reunion of Aamir Khan and Ashutosh Gowariker more than two decades after their landmark collaboration ‘Lagaan’, which was released in 2001.‘Lalkaara’ is being produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani’s Excel Entertainment in association with Rajkumar Hirani Films. The film is currently slated to go on floors in November 2026.
