Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli may be one of the most closely followed celebrity couples, but according to celebrity photographer Rahul Jhangiani, the two have distinctly different music preferences. In a recent conversation, Jhangiani opened up about working with the couple and recalled a fun moment on set when Anushka rejected Virat’s choice of Punjabi music in favour of her own playlist.

During an interview with NDTV, Rahul Jhangiani described both Anushka and Virat as extremely professional and disciplined when they are working. However, he noted that their personalities and preferences can differ, particularly when it comes to music.“Virat loves his Punjabi music. He has his playlist. Anushka is more into high-energy English pop songs. There was one time I actually played Virat’s playlist and she was like, ‘No, you play my songs for me.’ But that’s amazing to work with,” Jhangiani recalled.The anecdote offers a glimpse into the couple’s contrasting musical tastes, with Virat apparently favouring Punjabi tracks while Anushka prefers high-energy English pop.

Beyond their music preferences, Jhangiani was full of praise for the couple’s approach to work. He said both Anushka and Virat are punctual, efficient and respectful towards everyone on set.“Honestly, the similarities are that they’re both really professional. They’re never late on set. They’re on point with everything. They want to get done with their work as soon as possible. It’s amazing when you look at someone as famous as Virat and Anushka, who are so disciplined and so efficient when it comes to time. And they really respect everybody on set, which is amazing.”Jhangiani further recalled how the couple make it a point to respect the people they work with.“You hear all these stories where actors come late and stuff like that. They’re always five minutes before time. They make sure they have the shortest lunch break possible. It’s amazing. There’s so much respect for them. They have so much respect for everybody — all artists that are working. Always sweet to everybody, always respecting the artists hired on set.”Jhangiani also gave an insight into Anushka and Virat’s dynamic when they are together. Asked whether the couple are as affectionate in real life as they appear in social media posts, the photographer offered a playful observation.“If they’re both on set together, everyone else has vanished,” Jhangiani concluded.

Anushka Sharma on the work front

On the professional front, Anushka Sharma’s last acting project remains ‘Chakda Xpress’, in which she plays former Indian women’s cricket team captain Jhulan Goswami. Netflix originally announced the film as a biographical sports drama directed by Prosit Roy. However, the film’s release status remains uncertain. Recent reports have indicated that the film has been completed but has yet to receive a confirmed release date, while other industry reports have described its future as being in limbo. Anushka’s last full-fledged theatrical release was ‘Zero’ in 2018.
