Jason Sanjay, son of actor-turned-politician Thalapathy Vijay, is making his directorial debut with ‘Sigma’, starring Sundeep Kishan in the lead. Ahead of the film’s Gandhi Jayanti release on October 2, Jason opened up about his father’s likely reaction to the film. While describing Vijay as someone who takes time to process things before responding, Jason said he believes his father will appreciate his first directorial effort.

Speaking to Pearle Maaney on her YouTube show, Jason Sanjay opened up about his equation with his father and how Vijay typically responds when asked for his opinion. Jason described him as a quiet person who prefers to take his time before arriving at a conclusion.“My dad is usually a quiet person. He takes his time. If I ask a question, he’ll take 10 seconds to respond. If he’s quiet all the while, I’ll ask, ‘Did you cut the call, Appa?’ Think, come to your conclusion, and then call me, email me, or something. I think you need more time to analyse the film. But he’ll like the film; he’ll be proud,” he said.
What is ‘Sigma’ about?
‘Sigma’ follows Guru, a treasure hunter and radio host whose life takes a dramatic turn after a betrayal leaves him with nothing. He subsequently sets his sights on a massive operation involving a Rs 500-crore racket controlled by the ruthless Kotlapadi Veeraiya Reddy.Rather than taking on the powerful syndicate head-on, Guru assembles a team and devises an elaborate heist. As the plan progresses, however, betrayals and unforeseen complications put the entire operation at risk, forcing Guru to rely on his instincts and outmanoeuvre his opponents.
