The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the post-result facilities for students who appeared for the Class 12 supplementary examinations 2026. Candidates who are not satisfied with their marks can now seek a scanned copy of their evaluated answer books and subsequently apply for verification of marks, re-evaluation, or both.The CBSE Class 12 supplementary result 2026 was declared on August 12. Students who wish to challenge the marks awarded in their answer books will have to follow the schedule prescribed by the board and pay the applicable fee for each facility.

CBSE Class 12 supplementary post-result facilities: Important dates

As per the schedule released by CBSE, candidates can apply for scanned copies of their evaluated answer books from August 31 to September 1, 2026.The application for verification of marks and re-evaluation will be available later, from September 7 to September 8, 2026.The fee structure for the different facilities is as follows:

Students should carefully check the applicable fee before submitting their applications.

Scanned answer book required for re-evaluation

CBSE has specified that students who want to apply for re-evaluation must first obtain the scanned copy of their evaluated answer book. This means candidates cannot directly seek re-evaluation without completing the first stage of the post-result process.The scanned copy will allow students to examine their evaluated answer sheets and understand how their responses were assessed and marks were awarded.After receiving the scanned copy, candidates who believe there is an issue with the marks awarded can proceed with verification or re-evaluation, as applicable.

CBSE Class 12 supplementary post-result facilities: Steps to apply

Candidates will be required to submit their applications through the link provided on the official CBSE website. Students should complete the process themselves and carefully check all information before submitting the form.CBSE has advised candidates to ensure that the details entered in the application are accurate. The board will not be responsible for errors or incorrect information submitted by a third party on behalf of a candidate.Students should also complete the payment within the prescribed application window. Applications submitted after the deadline may not be considered.

CBSE to provide scanned copies through login account

Once the application for a scanned copy is submitted, the evaluated answer book will be made available in the candidate’s login account.However, CBSE will remove information that could reveal the identity of the examiner, evaluator or any other official associated with the examination process. This is intended to protect the confidentiality of those involved in the evaluation.The board has also indicated that efforts will be made to provide scanned copies on a first-come, first-served basis. Candidates applying earlier during the application window may therefore receive their scanned answer books earlier.
